The statement said the tension on the Korean Peninsula is further escalating since the U.S. and its allies' fabrication of "resolutions on sanctions" against the DPRK over its satellite launch for peaceful purposes and nuclear test for self-defence.

It went on:

Key Resolve war exercises envisage a war on the Korean Peninsula as they are aimed at bolstering the capability for effectively deploying the reinforced U.S. forces in contingency on the peninsula and conducting organized and coordinated operations.

The U.S. and the south Korean "government" have let their forces, etc. stage ceaseless war drills for occupying areas of the north under the simulated conditions of "contingency" there.

It is a fact well known to the world that such endless war exercises premised on a nuclear attack on the north in case of emergency compelled the north to have access to nuclear deterrent.

The U.S. and the south Korean "government" are sadly mistaken if they calculate they can bring down the north by military force.

The statement urged the U.S. not to lead the situation on the Korean Peninsula to a war in its interest but immediately halt the dangerous war exercises against the north.

If the U.S. and south Korean warmongers persistently pay no heed to this demand, they will face strong resistance of all Koreans desirous of peace on the peninsula, warned the statement.
