The appeal said the historic victory of the Korean people was attributable to the outstanding leadership art and Juche-oriented war method of President Kim Il Sung.

On July 27 this year the Koreans are to mark the 60th anniversary of their great victory in the war, day of second liberation of Korea, as they defeated the imperialists' invasion and honorably defended the country's sovereignty and national dignity, the appeal noted, and went on:

The great significance of July 27 lies in that Koreans safeguarded the independence of the country by fighting a war unprecedented in history.

We call upon the organizations for friendship and solidarity with Koreans to form preparatory committees for grandly celebrating the day and send full support to the Koreans in their struggle for the national reunification under the banner of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration.

Let us take part in the grand peace march from Pyongyang to Panmunjom to build up the public opinion for the replacement of the Korean Armistice Agreement with a peace treaty in order to avert a war and ensure durable peace, and organize diverse celebrations on the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

Let us extend full solidarity to the Koreans' struggle for defending socialism and achieving independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
