The statement said:

The U.S. and south Korean warlike forces kicked off Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises for aggression in a bid to make a preemptive nuclear strike at the DPRK.

An extremely tense situation is now prevailing on the Korean Peninsula due to the hostile forces' criminal moves for aggression to bring down socialism in the DPRK.

The spokesman for the Supreme Command of the KPA in a statement announced important measures which call for taking the second and third strong counteractions in succession, completely declaring invalid the Korean Armistice Agreement and stopping the activities of the Panmunjom mission of the KPA.

We fully support the just and decisive measures of the DPRK for self-defence to cope with the frantic and criminal moves of the U.S. imperialists and their followers for a war of aggression.

The "resolutions on sanctions" against the DPRK are little short of a declaration of war against it and they will be followed by strong countermeasures.
