US and Its Followers' Anti-DPRK Remarks Blasted: Minju Joson

Pyongyang, March 13 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and its followers are blaring that the DPRK is "escalating provocations" and opting for "military adventures". Minju Joson Wednesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: This is a revelation of their vicious intention to cover the criminal nature of their nuclear war maneuvers against the DPRK, shift the blame for the worsening tension on the Korean Peninsula onto it and justify their moves for stifling it. The crucial measures taken by the DPRK are very just ones for self-defence inevitably chosen by it to cope with the grave situation in which the sovereignty and dignity of the nation are encroached upon and the supreme interests of the country threatened. By nature, the DPRK had no plan to conduct the third underground nuclear test and had not taken into consideration the nullification of the Korean Armistice Agreement and halt to the activities of the Panmunjom mission of the Korean People's Army. However, the U.S. brought the successful launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2, an exercise of the just and independent right of the DPRK, for discussion of the UN Security Council, groundlessly terming it a "long-range missile launch", and instigated its satellite countries into cooking up the "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK. So, it urgently needed the peaceful circumstances and stable situation but was compelled to counter the enemies' moves with such countermeasure as conducting the third underground nuclear test as the sovereignty and dignity of the country is more valuable than them. The U.S. and its followers, far from drawing a due lesson from this, are resorting to tougher "sanctions" and seeking to ignite a new war at any cost through the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises in line with them. Steadfast is the will of the army and people of the DPRK to settle accounts with the U.S. imperialist aggressors and certainly achieve the historic cause of national reunification, the greatest cherished desire of the nation, concludes the commentary. |
