At the end of the last century the imperialists trumpeted about "complete collapse of socialism" and made vicious efforts to suffocate the DPRK politically, militarily and economically.

He consolidated the military position of Korean-style socialism with his original Songun politics.

Every steep mountain and forefront post of the DPRK such as Chol Pass, Mt. Osong, Cho Islet and Panmunjom are associated with the Songun leadership feats he performed with his iron will and superhuman energy.

Thanks to his devoted long journey the Korean People's Army turned into a powerful revolutionary Paektusan army, and the DPRK into a matchless military power with nuclear deterrent for self-defence.

He achieved the single-minded unity of whole society unbreakable with any nuclear weapons.

He was, indeed, a prominent thinker and theoretician, iron-willed commander and peerlessly elder statesman who always led the cause of socialism in the Songun era to victory by dint of idea, arms and unity.
