S. Korean Organizations Declare Period of Actions against War

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Organizations in South Kyongsang Province including the South Kyongsang Provincial Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration and the South Kyongsang Provincial Alliance for Progress held a press conference at the building of the provincial office on March 11 at which they declared a period of emergency actions against a war.

At the press conference, speakers said that the U.S. and the south Korean authorities claim that the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military drills are "defensive ones", but they are obviously offensive drills being staged under the simulated conditions of an all-out war against the north.

They voiced strong opposition to the war-like forces sticking to the policy of confrontation with the north, crying out for "a preemptive attack" upon the north.

They urged the U.S. to lift the failed "sanctions" against the DPRK, roll back the policy of pressure upon it and stop at once the joint military drills.
