Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations in Pusan, south Korea are staging actions against the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean belligerent forces' maneuvers for a war against the DPRK. The Pusan Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration, the Pusan Women's Society, the Pusan Youth Association and other civic and public organizations held a press conference on March 11 at which they said the danger of a war is increasing on the Korean Peninsula due to the north-targeted war maneuvers. Those who only think of running away overseas in case a war breaks out are crying out for making "punishment" and the like, the organizations said, urging the south Korean military belligerent forces stop acting rashly. At the end of the conference its participants staged a demonstration in demand of a stop to the war maneuvers. The Pusan Headquarters of the Confederation of Trade Unions in a statement on the same day condemned the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises as war maneuvers for attack aimed to "occupy the north". Accusing the military belligerent forces of talking about "preemptive strike" on the north, the statement demanded an immediate end to the dangerous saber-rattling which may lead to a war on the Korean Peninsula. |
