Pyongyang, March 16 (KCNA) -- A new war did not break out and peace has been preserved on the Korean Peninsula so far entirely thanks to the DPRK's patient efforts, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a bylined article. It goes on: The U.S. has escalated its hostile actions by taking the lead in implementing the UN Security Council's "resolutions on sanctions," far from apologizing for its wanton violation of the DPRK's right to satellite launch. Consequently, the DPRK's patience has reached its limit. The DPRK was left with no option but to conduct its third underground nuclear test for self-defense as part of its practical countermeasures to defend the security and sovereignty of the country. When the U.S. announced that it would stage a test nuclear war with huge armed forces involved, the DPRK served a stern warning to it. The U.S. and its allies, nevertheless, again kicked off the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military drills to stifle the DPRK militarily. It is natural for the DPRK, a full-fledged nuclear weapons state, to counter with precision nuclear strike means of Korean style the U.S. keen to attack it with nuclear weapons and it is the steadfast stand of its army and people. The U.S. will come to know clearly how wrong it was when it interpreted the DPRK's patience as a sign of weakness. |
