The 1 000-ri journey for learning was a significant one that helped the President acquire ideological and moral traits and qualifications as a great revolutionary and peerless patriot. It was also a sacred course that marked his first trace in the annals of sacred struggle for achieving the independence of the country and building a prosperous country.

The great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il made sure that study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu, the 1 000-ri journey for learning and the 1 000-ri journey for national liberation were made regularly so that all the schoolchildren could deeply grasp, absolutely uphold and preserve and glorify the personality and immortal revolutionary feats of the President generation after generation.

The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un saw to it that the 1 000-ri journey for learning was made by schoolchildren across the country on a big scale on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the 1 000-ri journey for learning made by the President.

The reporter called upon all the schoolchildren to positively learn from the glorious juvenile days of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and steadily carry forward the lineage of revolution.
