Rodong Sinmun Denounces Japan's Call for "Additional Sanctions" on DPRK

Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- A grave situation prevails on the Korean Peninsula where an accidental bullet may lead to a nuclear war due to the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises for invasion of the DPRK. Like adding fuel to the flames, the Japanese reactionaries are busy, calling for "independent additional sanctions" against the DPRK. Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a bylined article observes in this regard: In view of the present situation which is completely different from the past, the behavior of the Japanese reactionaries shows that they are going to use this opportunity for realizing the ambition for making Japan a military giant and launching overseas expansion. It would be a fatal mistake for Japan if it thinks it will be safe when a war breaks out on the Korean Peninsula and when its "Self-Defense Forces" take part in the war. As they already declared, the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK will exercise the right to a preemptive nuclear attack to destroy the strongholds of the aggressors and to protect the supreme interests of the country if the U.S. ignites a nuclear war. Japan will never be of an exception as it watches for a chance for reinvasion of Korea after leaving the whole archipelagos to the mercy of the U.S. imperialists seeking aggression of the DPRK. This is not just a warning. It would be a serious misjudgment for Japan if it thinks as it lies beyond the sea it can survive the merciless strike of the Korean People's Army. If the Japanese reactionaries run amuck in collusion with the U.S., they will face the horrible strike, and the Korean people will vent their long pent-up grudge. |
