The prosecution authorities took such action for the mere reason that Ri termed the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises now under way across south Korea drills for invading the north.

It has already been brought to light that the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle are the north-targeted nuclear war drills with lots of preemptive nuclear attack means involved, pursuant to scenarios for invading the north such as OPLAN 5027.

That is why south Korean people from all walks of life are staging widespread actions against the joint military exercises.

Nevertheless, the conservative group complained to the prosecution on March 12, describing Ri's action reflecting the trend of south Korean society as a far-fetched assertion.
