Students Continue 1 000-ri Journey for Learning
Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- Members of the group of schoolchildren across the country making 1 000-ri journey for learning arrived in Kanggye Tuesday. They departed Phophyong Saturday to mark the 90th anniversary of the journey made by President Kim Il Sung.

Members of the group laid a floral basket before the statues of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in Kanggye City and paid tribute to them.

They held a meeting of sending a telegram to the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un before the Kanggye Post Office where the President sent 6-character telegram "Kang Gye Mu Sa To Chak" (Safe Arrival in Kanggye) to his father Kim Hyong Jik on March 20, 1923.

The telegram was read out at the meeting.

In the telegram the members of the group informed him of their safe arrival in Kanggye after they left Phophyong on the day when the President set out on the 1 000-ri journey for learning 90 years ago.

Following the historic course covered by the President, they came to know the intention why Kim Jong Un saw to it that they made the journey at a time when the enemies were bringing the dark clouds of war, they said, adding the journey helped them enshrine Kim Jong Il's patriotism.

The telegram reflected their firm determination to safely arrive at Mangyongdae by speeding up the march with strong will and in the spirit of collectivism.
