The France-Korea Friendship Association released the following press release on March 8:

The UN Security Council cooked up additional unjust "resolution on sanctions," taking issue with the nuclear test conducted by the DPRK to defend its sovereignty.

The Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises being staged by the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces are escalating the serious military confrontation on the Korean Peninsula as they are now under way under the simulated conditions of a nuclear war against the DPRK.

The France-Korea Friendship Association cannot remain an onlooker to the increasing danger of a new war on the peninsula.

"Sanctions" can never work on the DPRK and they will only result in increasing the tension and military confrontation on the peninsula.

It is the only way for ensuring peace on the peninsula to conclude a peace treaty.

The association urges the permanent member states of the UNSC to play their proper roles for concluding the peace treaty on the peninsula, not slapping the unjust "sanctions" against the DPRK and clinging to provocative military threat and pressure.

The British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association noted in a statement on March 10:

The on-going joint military exercises are not defensive drills in their scale and program but war maneuvers to invade the DPRK.

All the British progressive and peace-loving forces should strongly demand the U.S. imperialists and south Korean puppet forces halt the joint military exercises at once.
