Ukrainian Organizations Express Solidarity for Korean People's Struggle

Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- The Dnepropetrovsk Branch of the Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Officers Union of the Soviet Union and the Sovietski Centr issued a joint statement "Let us frustrate the U.S. nuclear adventure" on March 8 in denunciation of the military provocation by the U.S. and the south Korean authorities against the DPRK.

The statement said:

The U.S. and its allies are staging provocative military drills with even nuclear weapons involved and the south Korean military is making irresponsible remarks about possible aggressive preemptive strike at the DPRK, a nuclear weapons state. These developments are pushing the world to the brink of a nuclear war.

The war veterans of Ukraine experienced the burden and pain of war through the Second World War and other regional wars.

As lessons drawn by many countries showed, it is impossible to beat back the aggressors with an empty talk only.

We, therefore, express full support for the statement of the spokesman for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army dated March 5 and the statement of a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry dated March 7 and voice firm solidarity with the heroic Korean people in their struggle for safeguarding the country's sovereignty, national freedom and revolutionary gains.

We call upon the progressive people throughout the world to launch a solidarity campaign to hold in check the reckless military adventure of the U.S. imperialists.
