UN Security Council, Imperialists' Tool for High-handed, Arbitrary Practices (3): News Analyst
Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- During the Libyan crisis in 2011 Western countries prodded the UN Security Council into adopting a resolution on setting no-flying zone in Libya under the pretext of "protecting civilians."

Warplanes of the Western countries lost no time to make massive air raids on Libya.

The international community censured the air raids, claiming they went beyond the mandate granted by the UNSC's resolution, but it was too late.

The barbarous air raids left a large number of civilians killed and caused many refugees. They reduced urban and rural areas of Libya to debris.

Chinese Xinhua News said that the West's military operation against Libya was conducted under the signboard of "humanitarianism," but, on the contrary, it resulted in human disasters.

As all facts prove, all plots hatched by the imperialists through the abuse of the UNSC are bound to be followed by a war of aggression and it is certain to lead to massacre, destruction and national misery and ruin.

When the crow flies, her tail follows.

A series of "resolutions on sanctions" the U.S. imperialists and their allies cook up against the DPRK over its legitimate satellite launch and just measures for self-defence to cope with their hostile acts cannot be construed otherwise than a curtain raiser to a war.

That was why Songun Korea regarding its sovereignty as life and soul vehemently denounced the UNSC's "resolutions" against it as an open declaration of war because they were products of the imperialists' plots and launched an all-out action against them.

The Korean people still remember all crimes committed by the U.S. imperialists after provoking the Korean War in the 1950s and prodding the UNSC into bringing imperialist mercenaries under the berets of "UN forces" to the inviolable territory of Korea.

They committed such thrice-cursed crimes as bringing war disasters to the peace-loving nation and wantonly infringing upon the sovereign state's dignity, sovereignty and territorial integrity. No statute of limitation is applicable to these crimes and their perpetrators are fated to face a merciless punishment.

The army and people of the DPRK want peace, but are never afraid of war.

It is the unanimous view of military analysts that if a war breaks out in Korea, it will lead to a global thermonuclear war and its consequences will be unpredictably disastrous.

Songun Korea today is no longer what it used to be as in the 1950s when it was just a young Republic.

Should the U.S. imperialists dare make even a slight provocation, the great Paektusan nation with matchless military power will never miss the chance to blow up the strongholds for aggression and reunify the country without fail.
