U.S. B-52 Bomber's Flight to Korean Peninsula Slammed: KCNA Commentary
Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- The U.S.-south Korea joint military drills codenamed Key Resolve and Foal Eagle are assuming increasing danger of a nuclear war.

B-52, a prototype strategic bomber of the U.S. air force, flew to the sky above south Korea on March 8 and 19 for bombing drills.

B-52 has been regarded as one of three major nuclear attack means for the U.S. along with inter-continental ballistic missile and submarine launching missile that are based in the U.S. mainland.

The flights of the strategic bomber to Korea for the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle clearly prove the aggressive and adventurous nature of the drills as a test nuclear war rehearsal.

A spokesman for the U.S. Defense Department said that B-52's nuclear and conventional capabilities will be tested in the on-going drills.

Hurled into the drills are huge ground, marine and air nuclear strike means including the U.S. nuclear carrier flotilla and strategic bombers armed with nuclear warheads.

Nuclear-powered submarines equipped with nuclear missiles are also reported to take part in the drills.

The introduction of strategic nuclear strike means into the Korean Peninsula amid the situation inching close to a war is an intolerable challenge aimed to test the declaration of the DPRK that it will take toughest stand.

The U.S. held joint exercises with the involvement of B-52 and nuclear submarines in the past which had been kept secret.

Now exceptionally making public the flight plan of B- 52, the U.S. is confirming its offer of a "nuclear umbrella" to south Korea, an open nuclear threat to the DPRK. This is also a revelation of its reckless attempt to ignite a new nuclear war against the DPRK by escalating the tension.

Never has there created such an acute nuke-to-nuke showdown on the Korean Peninsula as today.

Any slightest act of getting on the nerves of the other party is extremely dangerous on the Korean Peninsula now as a flash of fire may lead to a total war.

However, the U.S. is stepping up the military pressure on the DPRK, staging large-scale nuclear war exercises against it and openly introducing strategic nuclear armed forces into south Korea every year.

Before the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle, the U.S. staged a drill for preempting a nuclear strike at the DPRK in the East Sea of Korea, citing the measures for self-defence taken by it to cope with the UN Security Council's shameless "resolutions on sanctions" against it.

All developments prove once again that the U.S. imperialists remain unchanged in their nuclear policy to violate the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK and that it was just when it chose to react to the gangsters' nukes with nukes of justice.

The U.S. is now insulting and challenging the DPRK's nuclear deterrence for self-defence to test its patience. The U.S. should not expect mercy from the DPRK.

The DPRK's revolutionary armed forces equipped with powerful militant capacity are full of spirit of annihilating enemies to the last man by taking thousand-fold retaliations against those who provoke the independent dignity and security of the country even a bit.

If the U.S. sends B-52 to Korea again, it will meet catastrophic end by the strong military counteraction of the DPRK.

Time has gone when words worked.
