At the press conference speakers said the danger of war is increasing on the Korean Peninsula due to the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises.

The situation on the peninsula reached an inch away from a war after the bluster of the south Korean military that it would not rule out a war, they noted.

The hard-line policy and military pressure on the north will only fuel a crisis, not settling the issue, they said, demanding an immediate halt to the joint military war maneuvers that get on the nerves of the north.

They urged the south Korean authorities to build confidence with the north by implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

They said that they would, together with organizations of different social strata in Pusan, conduct an action for peace against war on the Korean Peninsula.
