Its inaugural ceremony took place at the university on Mar. 15.

Present there were personages of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Venezuela-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association and teachers and students of the university.

Present there on invitation were members of the delegation of the Social Scientists Society of Korea.

Speeches were made at the ceremony.

The speakers expressed their joy at having the Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism Department at the university, noting that the Korean people made world-startling achievements in building socialism under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung, holding aloft the banner of the Juche idea and the Songun idea.

They went on:

Leader Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary idea of the President as Kimilsungism and pursued the Songun politics as required by the changed international situation, thus foiling the vicious moves of the U.S.-led international reactionaries to stifle the DPRK and resolutely defending the cause of socialism.

The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un formulated the preceding leaders' idea as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and clarified its profound essence. All the remarkable achievements in the DPRK are ascribable to the Juche idea and the Songun idea.

They declared that they would push forward the Bolivar revolution to the last by deeply studying Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, disseminating it among broad popular masses and successfully embodying it in Venezuela.
