The letter accused the U.S. of turning south Korea into a nuclear arsenal.

It denounced the U.S. for laying difficulties in the way of the Korean people by operating its military bases in south Korea and stockpiling nuclear weapons there and by making its economy increasingly dependent on the U.S.

The potential military threat to the peninsula will bring irrevocable consequences to the people of Korea and those of other Asian countries around it, the letter said.

It demanded the U.S. and south Korean chief executives stop the military provocations escalating the tension on the peninsula.

There is nothing more urgent for the Korean people than peaceful reunification of the nation, it said.

Calling on the Korean people to condemn the schemes of the tricksters to bar the peninsula from turning into a zone of peace and prosperity by creating difficulties in the way of national reunification, the letter declared that their strong will alone can deal blows at the aggressors.
