Present there were figures of the Venezuela-Korea Friendship Parliamentary Group, the Human Rights Federation of Venezuela and the National Leadership of the Venezuela Revolutionary Movement, personages of organizations for the study of the Juche idea and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and masses.

A lecture on the recent situation on the Korean Peninsula was given to be followed by speeches of the head of the friendship parliamentary group, the chairman of the federation and other figures.

The speakers said that they were pleased with the signal successes made by the DPRK despite the moves of the U.S. to stifle it and threat of aggression, adding that the struggle of the Korean people is greatly encouraging the people of Latin America including Venezuela in their anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle.

They noted that the Venezuelan people are learning a lot from the Korean people who have defended and victoriously advanced the cause of socialism, upholding the banner of the Juche idea and the Songun idea under the wise leadership of the great leaders.

They went on:

It is important to strengthen mutual support and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries to achieve the common aim of the struggle against imperialism and the U.S. and for socialism. We will dynamically struggle to firmly defend and accomplish the cause of the Bolivarian revolution pioneered by President Chavez and positively support the Korean people in their just cause of standing up firm against the frantic moves of the imperialist reactionaries.
