The commentary recalled that on Mar. 14 the Supreme Court convicted the activists of the People's Movement for the Sovereignty of Media Subscribers of staging a campaign to boycott the goods produced by the businesses placing orders for ads on Chosun Ilbo, Choongang Ilbo and Dong-A Ilbo in 2008.

Their activities meant censuring the conservative media for releasing misinformation in support of the "government's" action to import American beef infected with mad cow disease in disregard of the people's health, it said, and went on:

Nevertheless, the Lee Myung Bak regime desperately suppressed them by mobilizing repressive forces, sparking off public uproar.

In particular, the prosecution's indictment is a typical example proving the crackdown upon just activities of people for the upkeep of the regime.

The decision of the Supreme Court, too, was the same anachronistic action to suppress the forces critical of the regime as was committed during the Lee Myung Bak regime.
