It said it would conduct positive activities and strengthen solidarity with organizations comprising people of different social standings in order to achieve the national reconciliation and cooperation and the peace on the Korean Peninsula and improve the south-north relations.

Ri Chang Bok, director general of the 70 Million Korean People's Meeting for Embracing National Reunification, was elected permanent representative of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration at the meeting.
