U.S. Reckless Nuclear Blackmail Will Only Precipitate Its Self-Destruction: KCNA Commentary
|
|
Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Carter flew into south Korea to be closeted with its puppet officials against the backdrop of the U.S. and south Korea's escalating moves for a war against the DPRK. He met with those concerned of the Chongwadae and defence and foreign ministers of south Korea and gave them assurances that the U.S. would soon round off the "tailored deterrence strategy" for mounting a preemptive nuclear strike on the DPRK. He even disclosed the plan of nuclear capable B-52 to stage a drill of dropping A-bombs in the air over the Korean Peninsula, zealously prodding the puppet forces into provocations. U.S. nuclear-powered submarines entered waters off the peninsula under the pretext of the Foal Eagle joint military exercises. Next day B-52 flew into south Korea to stage a drill under the simulated conditions of an actual battle. This goes to clearly prove once again that the on-going joint military exercises of the U.S. and the puppet forces are not "annual ones for defence" but the DPRK-targeted nuclear war drills from A to Z. Their madcap war maneuvers in the sky, land and seas of south Korea are driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of a war. The facts prove that the DPRK's access to nuclear weapons as a nuclear deterrent for self-defence was an entirely right decision to cope with the U.S. ceaseless nuclear war blackmail. The U.S. and its allies are resorting to all sorts of "sanctions" and pressure rackets to play down the significance of the DPRK's access to nuclear weapons in defending the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in the region. This is nothing but a criminal act of turning black into white. No matter how desperately the hostile forces twist the situation and intensify their offensive to stifle the DPRK, they will find no change in the stand of the DPRK. The U.S. is sadly mistaken if it thinks its strategic bomber and nuclear submarine can browbeat the DPRK. This may be a shot in arm of the puppet forces as they left all political, military, economic and cultural arteries to the tender mercy of their U.S. master and put them under the protection by his "nuclear umbrella" but this sounds to the DPRK nothing but a mere bravado. Nuclear weapons are no longer a monopoly of the U.S. and gone are the days never to return when the U.S. could threaten and blackmail the DPRK with its A-bombs. The war-like forces should bear in mind that the strongholds of aggression, to say nothing of B-52 or nuclear submarine and other U.S. means for nuclear blackmail, can never get rid of the range of sighting strike of the DPRK's nuclear forces for self-defence. The U.S. had better ponder over its miserable end before talking about "nuclear umbrella" and "defence commitment" for the puppet forces. Provocateurs are bound to meet a miserable end in the nuclear war ignited by themselves. |
