More than 180 scientific papers were presented to the symposium.

Present there were officials concerned, medical workers, scientists, technicians and teachers in the field of public health.

Kim Hyong Hun, chairman of the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea, in his address at the symposium referred to the fact that great successes have been achieved in the work for preventing and eradicating diseases including epidemics and consolidating the advantages of the socialist public health system under the wise leadership of the peerlessly great persons.

Then papers on successes made in scientific researches were presented there.

The papers drew attention of the participants for their great practical significance.
