Present at the seminar were delegations and delegates of at least 80 political parties and organizations from 35 countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America including the DPRK and members of the leadership and delegates of the Workers' Party of Mexico.

Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, national leader of the Workers' Party of Mexico, said in his opening address that the DPRK's third underground nuclear test was the most just step for defending the dignity and sovereignty of the country and the nation from the evermore undisguised moves of the U.S. and its allies to stifle the DPRK.

Delegates of political parties and organizations of various countries including the DPRK called upon the progressive parties and organizations to support and solidarize one another and launch joint actions against the U.S. political and military interference in the countries desirous of building a new society.

The seminar adopted a joint statement in support of the just cause of the Korean people to defend the sovereignty of the country and the nation.

The statement said that all the participants in the seminar unanimously expressed full support and solidarity with the just and heroic struggle of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the Korean people in their dynamic advance for final victory, holding aloft the banner of independence and Songun.

It went on:

The U.S. and its allies are frantically kicking up rackets of international sanctions and pressure against the DPRK over its legitimate satellite launch for peaceful purposes and nuclear test for self-defence. This is an extremely dangerous hostile act to stifle socialist Korea and a provocation gravely threatening peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of the world.

The reality clearly proves what a just option the heroic Korean people took under the wise leadership of the WPK to bolster the war deterrence in every way to defend security of the country and the nation, bravely frustrating all the challenges and ordeals.

The WPK and the Korean people closely united around the dear respected Kim Jong Un are firmly defending socialism centered on the popular masses and victoriously pushing forward the building of a thriving nation with the might of Songun. Their heroic struggle instills great confidence and courage into the progressive political parties and people in their efforts to build a new society.

Noting that the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War (Korean War) is a holiday not only for them but also for all other progressives, the statement called upon the progressive political parties, organizations and people of different countries to celebrate the anniversary with splendor as a grand international political festival.

It urged the U.S. and its allies to immediately lift all the unjust sanctions against the DPRK and stop at once the reckless military provocations threatening peace on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of Northeast Asia.

The national leader of the Workers' Party of Mexico on behalf of all the participants presented a letter to Kim Jong Un as regards the successful seminar.
