The statement accused the puppet regime of staging the madcap Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises against the north in league with the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and, at the same time, kicking up a terror-ridden repressive racket against the progressive forces opposed to the "resolution on sanctions" against the north and the north-targeted war exercises, again labeling them "forces following the north."

It went on:

The progressive forces are strongly demanding the U.S. and south Korean warmongers halt the war moves against the north and come out for dialogue and opt for concluding a peace treaty, holding that "sanctions would not help settle the situation" and "the on-going military exercises are offensive ones aimed to attack the north."

Their actions are an expression of resentment against the puppet regime keen to ignite a war against the north in league with the U.S., and quite natural and just ones for peace and stability in view of the grave situation where all mechanisms to prevent a war have been scrapped and a war may break out any moment on the Korean Peninsula.

Nevertheless, the ultra-right conservative forces are cracking down upon those people of conscience out in the movement against sanctions and a war, labeling them "forces following the north." This is a crime against the nation and a fascist action as it is aimed to stamp out the forces for the movement for national reunification and organizations for the movement for peace against war and escalate the moves for confrontation with fellow countrymen.

All Korean nationals in Russia will positively support the south Korean people's struggle for peace against war and make all efforts to frustrate the desperate moves of the south Korean regime to create the danger of war and escalate the confrontation with fellow countrymen in collusion with outside forces.
