School Youth and Children's Study Tour Group Here

| Pyongyang, March 28 (KCNA) -- A group of school youth and children from across the country for making a 1,000-ri (250 miles) journey for learning arrived here. It started to mark the 90th anniversary of 1,000-ri journey for learning made by President Kim Il Sung. Since its departure from Phophyong on March 16 the group arrived here by train on March 28 after it marched through Ogasan Pass to Kaechon via Hwaphyong, Kanggye, Jonchon and Hyangsan. Along the long route from Pyongyang Railway Station to Kwangbok Street and Mangyongdae, school youth and children and people warmly welcomed the members of the group with garlands. Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Ri Yong Su, department director of the C.C., WPK, Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, and other officials concerned and officials of the youth league greeted the group members and marched together with them. The members of the group arrived in Mangyongdae. |
