The Romanian Workers' Association in a statement said the U.S. let B-52 fly into the sky above the Korean Peninsula against the backdrop of a touch-and-go situation prevailing there due to the frantic joint war drills being staged by the U.S. and south Korean authorities, thus escalating the tension.

It said the spokesmen for the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army and the DPRK Foreign Ministry declared in their statements that the DPRK would deal merciless retaliatory blows at the U.S. becoming evermore undisguised in its threat and blackmail, adding that this was an entirely just measure for self-defence.

With nothing can the U.S. hurt the DPRK, a full-fledged nuclear weapons state, it noted, and continued:

The U.S. should immediately withdraw all its military hardware from south Korea and roll back its hostile policy toward the DPRK, bearing deep in mind that it is quite different from Iraq or Libya.

We send solidarity to the Korean people all out in a sacred action against the U.S.

The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association said in their joint statement:

It is a grave provocation against the DPRK that the U.S. sent B-52, a means for nuclear attack, to the sky above the Korean Peninsula and nuclear powered submarine to waters off it. This is an indication of the U.S. scenario for a nuclear attack on the DPRK.

The DPRK will dynamically advance along the road of Songun and meet all challenges of the hostile forces under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The army and people of the DPRK will never be frightened by warning, threat and blackmail of the U.S.

We voice full support for the steps for self-defence taken by the DPRK and demand the U.S. forces quit south Korea at once.
