The inaugural ceremony discussed issues of celebrating the anniversary with splendor.

Madav Kumar Nepal, leader of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (United Marxist-Leninist), was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to hold diverse political and cultural events on the anniversary and conduct a signature campaign in support of the just cause of the Korean people for achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and protecting its sovereignty from Mar. 26 to July 27.
