Present there were members of the Central Committee of the Catholic Association of Korea, believers in Pyongyang, members of the regional association from all local areas and foreigners staying in the DPRK.

A ceremony was held following an address delivered by Kim Chol Ung, chief of the Jangchung Cathedral.

The participants prayed for the earlier realization of peace and independent reunification of Korea, revival of the nation, under the benevolence of the Lord, amid the pleasure of greeting the revival of Christ.

At the meeting a sermon and gospel were recited according to the Catholic precedent before a special lecture by the chief of the Cathedral.

He congratulated the fellow Christian brothers and foreign friends on the Eastertide.

He said that the global peace and destiny of the Korean nation are being seriously threatened due to the big powers' highhanded and arbitrary practices even though the love of the Lord and peace should be realized.

He went on:

Now the situation of the Korean Peninsula has gone beyond the danger line owing to the vicious anti-DPRK "sanctions" and reckless provocations for a nuclear war by the U.S. and its allies including south Korea. The worst physical conflict presupposing the exchange of fire and nukes has now become unavoidable.

The U.S. and south Korean puppet forces even openly let loose such reckless remarks that they were aiming with precision weapons at the statues of the great Generalissimos, supreme incarnations of love and trust and benevolent fathers of the nation, whom the world progressives desirous of justice look up to. This is the most monstrous and inhumane crime little short of stabbing dagger into the hearts of world progressives including the Korean people as well as the open declaration of a war against the DPRK.

The Catholic believers realizing love, peace and justice should actively turn out in the actions to put the group of Satans into the red hot iron-pot of Hell.

He conveyed the teaching of the Lord that one who made others shed blood are bound to shed his own blood and every sin brings punishment with it. He called for mercilessly punishing the group of Satans which brought the root cause of misfortune to this land, which was created to be the one by the Lord, and sufferings of division to the Korean nation for nearly seven decades. He also called upon the Catholic believers in the north and the south to fulfill their duties in the just sacred war for achieving independent reunification, revival of the nation, at an early date.

He expressed expectation that the world Catholic community and progressives would fully support the cause of the DPRK to defend peace and justice.

The participants renewed the firm resolution to put the warmongers into the red hot iron-pot of Hell as early as possible and build a peaceful and prosperous reunified country.
