The bulletin said:

Kim Il Sung, founder of socialist Korea, laid down the line on the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution when he was launching his revolutionary activities for the liberation of Korea from Japanese imperialists' military occupation.

In the period of the building of new society, too, after the liberation of the country he chose the way of Korean-style democracy, i.e. progressive democracy.

The DPRK went ahead with the satellite launch again in spite of the big powers' pressure to check its satellite launch, the legitimate right of a sovereign state. This fact helps the international community realize how strong the DPRK is in its independent stand.

Thanks to the powerful defence capability provided by him with his far-sighted wisdom, the DPRK could inflict a shameful defeat upon the U.S. for the first time in history in the war though it was less than two years old and honorably defend its sovereignty and dignity.

The banner of Songun held high by Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il at the end of the last century helped put the defence capability of the DPRK on a high level.
