The Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK on March 28 expressed great concern over the grave situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula.

It said the military provocation by the south Korean authorities and the forces supporting them are pushing the situation of not only Asia but the rest of the world to a danger line.

Any form of aggression moves against the DPRK would face a strong counterattack though they are committed under whatever pretexts.

The Korean people will firmly protect the sovereignty of the country and dignity of the nation under the banner of the Juche idea and the Songun politics.

We call on the progressive mankind to lift their voices demanding a stop to reckless provocations against the DPRK so as to ensure global peace and stability.

The Russian Maritime Territorial Association for Friendship with Korea in a statement on March 29 said that the U.S. and its followers are kicking up a frantic racket on sanctions against the DPRK over its satellite launch and underground nuclear test.

The DPRK is strongly countering the UN Security Council's "resolutions on sanctions", regarding them as a threat to it, the statement noted, stressing the issue of the Korean Peninsula can be settled only when the safety of the DPRK is substantially guaranteed.
