Japan Will Never Be Able to Escape Stern Judgment of History: KCNA Commentary
|

Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- Japan, the worst human rights abuser, is taking the lead in the smear campaign against the DPRK in the international arena. It behaved so despicably as raising both hands in support of the recent "resolution on setting up a special committee to investigate the human rights record in north of Korea" adopted by the UN Human Rights Council. Japanese Foreign Minister Kishida and minister in charge of the "issue of abductees" Furuya let loose such spate of nonsense as "Japan highly appreciates the resolution adopted without any voting" and "it strongly hopes to see a special committee formed soon and investigation started so that it may prove effective as a lever for pressure". Meanwhile, Japanese Prime Minister Abe jabbered that the issue of "comfort women" for the Imperial Japanese Army should be left to historians and experts to be discussed at a quiet platform and that it should not be handled as a political and diplomatic issue. Japan's behavior in the international arena over the so-called "human rights" is more brazen-faced than anything else. Japan has no face to talk about other's human rights as it has shunned the redemption of its crime-woven past for decades by drenching the continent with the blood shed by Asians in the last century. The Abe government has gone to extremes in its approach towards such shameless acts as distorting the history and denying the past crimes including the issue of "comfort women" for the Imperial Japanese Army, a hideous crime against humanity. Abe dismissed as a serious error the news report that he "apologized" for the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army at the talks with the then U.S. president in April, 2007 when the former was in office. There take place a series of despicable acts in Japan. A rock troupe, ultra-right music band of Japan, composed songs insulting the victims of the sexual slavery to be disseminated and posted on websites was a composite photograph insulting a girl bust disclosing the sexual slavery as a prostitute. This is the picture of Japan. According to the disclosure made by a BBC correspondent in Tokyo, the explanation from 1931 to 1945 in a historic textbook of Japan is just 19 pages out of 357 pages in all. This textbook has just one sentence of explanation about each the issue of the "comfort women" for the Imperial Japanese Army and the Nanjing massacre called the worst tragedy in the 20th century as they killed 300 000 Chinese in 1937. Nevertheless, the Abe government hopes to see curriculum amended so that youngsters may feel more proud of the country's history than now, the broadcasting service added. Japan is so impudent. The past crimes can never change with distortion and denial of them. Resolutions on the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army were adopted at the Senate of the New York State Assembly in the wake of the House of Representatives of the U.S. and the California State Assembly. The resolutions branded the sexual slavery as crime against humanity and as one of the worst flesh traffic in the 20th century, revealing that the Japanese government forced more than 200 000 women into the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army. A lot of monuments disclosing the sexual slavery are being erected one after another in different parts of the U.S. including California and New York. With no sleight of hand can Japan ever escape a stern judgment of history. The reckless acts oblivious of lesson are bound to invite a fresh ruin. |
