Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- A new kind of natural graphite brush was developed by scientists of the Natural Graphite Development Center in the DPRK. Made with locally available raw materials, it is based on know-how in each process of manufacturing. The development paved a way to turn out quality graphite brushes with raw materials abundant in the country, laying a solid basis for supplying enough electric brushes for motors and generators to different economic sectors. The brush has no adverse effect on environment. It was already tested at the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, local mines and farms and in other countries. With no sparks and less abrasion, it is highly appreciated by users. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) announced that the brush is 28 percent higher in electric conductivity and 50 percent stronger in intensity, although 7 percent smaller in density, than other kinds. The brush won the international standard (IEC/PAS). |
