Passenger Traffic College Opens in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 2 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang Passenger Traffic College has opened with the new school year beginning in the DPRK on Monday. Pak Chol Ung, an official of the college, told KCNA: "Intensifying education at factory colleges is one of the important works for building a thriving socialist nation. The college will direct efforts to giving multimedia and IT education to students so that they can solve scientific and technological problems arising in hands-on activities." Pak Chan Ju, a student of the college, said: "As one of the first entrants of the college, I will top the class in study, mindful of leader Kim Jong Il's instructions on looking out over the world with feet planted on this land." The five-year college has such departments as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and metal engineering. It is open five days a week. Its graduates will be granted engineership. |
