The Secretariat of the Moscow City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in its statement on Mar. 28 expressed strong indignation at the moves of the U.S. and south Korean regime to provoke a nuclear war against the DPRK.

It said:

The U.S. has introduced strategic bombers and nuclear-powered submarines mounted with nuclear weapons into the Korean Peninsula in a bid to ignite a nuclear war at any cost.

The war drumbeats under the pretext of coping with "nuclear threat" from the DPRK have stemmed from the wild ambition of the U.S. to hold hegemony over the Asia-Pacific region.

Such moves of the U.S. compelled the DPRK to have access to strong nuclear deterrence.

We urge the UN Security Council to stand against the military provocations of the U.S. in the Asia-Pacific region.

On the same day the International Soviet Officers Union denounced the U.S. and its allies for their desperate moves to turn the DPRK into a sea of blood, adding it had had access to reliable war deterrence to ensure its peaceful development.

The criminals standing against humanity will never be able to escape the stern punishment of the people and destruction, it added.
