Participating at the event were officials and members of the Red Cross Society of Korea, RC volunteers including young people, officials concerned, members of the delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Korea, the head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross and members of the Red Cross donators delegation on a visit to the DPRK.

Speeches were made at the event.

They said that the spring tree-planting is in full swing in the spring period of the general mobilization for land management.

They said the event is part of the work for positively introducing the agro-forestry management method for preventing disaster and improving the people's standard of living.

They said that young RC persons should take the lead in applying the agro-forestry management method whose efficiency was confirmed in improving ecological environment and increasing grain production, while planting chestnut, peach and other trees.

The spring tree-planting of young RC persons will continue till April 13 in South and North Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces and other parts of the country.
