Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin said in his speech that the gymnasts' successes inspired all the service personnel and the people who turned out in an all-out action against the U.S. and in the struggle to implement the decision made at the recent plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Ri Se Gwang in his reply speech renewed his firm pledge to train harder to prove successful in international games and thus demonstrate the dignity and honor of Songun Korea with gold medals.
