Giving spurs to economic construction is a worthwhile struggle to bring earlier the final victory of building a thriving nation, the editorial says, and goes on:

Korea, once subject to distress as a weak colony in the past, is now displaying the dignity as an invincible political and military power, a full-fledged space power and a nuclear weapons state recognized by the world.

Only when we bring about great innovation and leaping progress in the economic construction and in improving the living standard of the people with the same stamina as displayed in conquering space and succeeding in the nuclear test of high level, will it be possible for the DPRK to flutter the red flag on the eminence of a thriving socialist country.

We have favorable conditions for channeling funds and manpower into building economy and improving the standard of people's living on the basis of the powerful war deterrence.

The tremendous mental and material potentials provided by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the socialist system of Juche based on collectivism and rich experience made in the effort to build an economic power are precious assets for making a great leaping progress in economic construction.

The editorial calls upon all officials, party members and other people to turn out as one in the struggle to make great innovations and leaping progress in the economic construction in the spirit of the March, 2013 plenary meeting of the WPK Central Committee which hardened the conviction of the people in the final victory.
