Japan's Discrimination against Korean Nation under Fire
Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- The Institute for National Studies in south Korea and other civic and social bodies submitted a report to the UN in protest against the Japanese authorities' discrimination against the Koreans in Japan, according to south Korean Yonhap News on April 4.

The bodies in the report said that the Japanese society's lurch to the Right and discriminating practices against the Koreans in Japan have reached the most serious phase.

Korean schools, in particular, are excluded from the tuition-free program for senior high schools and violence and threats to Korean students are taking place without let-up, the bodies said.

The bodies urged the UN to pressurize the Japanese government to protect the human rights of the Koreans in Japan.

In the meantime, Japanese civic bodies also submitted to the UN a report demanding the lifting of national discrimination, assistance to Korean schools, etc.
