Rodong Sinmun Denounces US for Introducing Nuclear War Hardware

Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialist warmongers introduced nuclear submarine Cheyenne, B-52, B-2A and F-22 into south Korea under the pretext of the Foal Eagle joint military exercises. They also sent John S. McCain and Decatur, Aegis destroyers mounted with interceptor missile, and SBX-1 to the waters off the Korean Peninsula. A super-large nuclear carrier is supposed to move to the peninsula. Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a bylined commentary in this regard: This is little short of a declaration to ignite a nuclear war at any cost on this land, not just nuclear threat and blackmail against the DPRK and demonstration of armed forces. The military hardware being brought to south Korea are the state-of-the art preemptive offensive weapons on which the U.S. put big faith. The DPRK-U.S. confrontation has nearly seven decades-long history. But the U.S. imperialists have never made such desperate efforts in the nuclear war moves against the DPRK by mobilizing all kinds of latest nuclear war equipment as now. The clear intention sought by the U.S. is to turn the Korean Peninsula into an advance base for securing the military hegemony in Northeast Asia and carrying out its world domination strategy with its focus being shifted to the Asia-Pacific region with a top priority given to the region. It is, indeed, a foolish act that the U.S. imperialists are moving to browbeat the DPRK by using sort of "sophisticated weapon". If they finally start a nuclear war, the DPRK will set fire to the dens of crimes and bases of aggression with its powerful and sophisticated nuclear strike means and completely wipe them out on the earth. The south Korean puppet group of traitors will not be of exception in the face of the DPRK's retaliatory strike for justice as they turned south Korea into the land for the U.S. latest weapons exhibition and nuclear test ground. |
