In this regard, KCNA met Kim Mi Jong, an official at the Koryo Medicine Management Bureau under the Ministry of Public Health.

She said:

The government allocates yearly medical herb output quota to related entities in the country.

All employees of the related field have now turned out in planting herbs.

Gathered in the spring season are such species of herbs as Atractylodes japonica, windflower, medicinal wormwood and celandine.

Meanwhile, peach, apricot and ginkgo nut stones are collected in cities and Artemisia messerschmidtiana, motherwort, barrenwort and dandelion in rural areas as Koryo medicinal materials in different seasons.

The medicinal herb harvest should be done in sites fixed by land management organs and the sites should be sown again.
