The participants placed bunches of flowers before the statue of the President in the city of Nampho before paying tribute to him.

The captain and crewmen of the Chinese-flagged ship Jin Pei were present at the meeting.

The speakers there said that the President was a distinguished thinker and theoretician who founded the Juche idea and an outstanding leader who turned the DPRK into a powerful socialist state.

He was an outstanding military strategist and ever-victorious iron-willed commander who defeated two imperialisms in one generation, they noted, and continued:

The Korean people have stood in confrontation with the U.S. imperialists despite their increasing nuclear war threat and pressure thanks to the powerful military force built by the President.

The idea and cause of the President have been successfully carried forward thanks to the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They hoped that the Korean people who are closely united around Kim Jong Un would register greater successes in their efforts for economic development and improving people's standard of living.

A letter to him was adopted at the meeting.
