Javid Ahmad, chairman of the Kuwait Asian Journalist Association, was elected chairman of the committee.

The chairman said April 15, the birthday of Kim Il Sung, is the greatest auspicious holiday common to humankind.

The Day of the Sun this year will be more significant as the March, 2013 plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 7th Session of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK were successfully held under the guidance of HE Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, the chairman added.

The committee decided to widely introduce through media the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the greatness of Marshal Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
