Norma Binas, vice-chairman of the Philippine Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula, said in a report at the inaugural ceremony the service personnel and the people of the DPRK worked such historic miracle as beating back the aggression by the U.S. imperialists who boasted of being "strongest" in the world and their allies and achieving a shining victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The vice-chairman underscored the need to significantly celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the war.

MP Rafael Mariano, president of the Philippine Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.
