Honorary Titles Conferred upon Artistes of Unhasu Orchestra

| Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- The title of People's Artiste was awarded to vocalist Jang Yong Ok and instrumentalist Yu Won Chol and title of Merited Artiste to instrumentalists Jo Ok Ju, Nam Un Ha, Kim Su Myong, Kim Hyong Il and Ri Jong Hui of the Unhasu Orchestra on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. This conferment was made in recognition of their great contributions to successfully producing and staging music pieces pervaded with high and dynamic spirit of the times to encourage the army and people of the country in their struggle for a final victory, firmly armed with the Juche-oriented and original idea of the Workers' Party of Korea on musical art. The relevant decree of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK was promulgated on April 8. |
