More than 60 units selected from the General Bureau for Service for People, ministries, national institutions and all provinces took part in the festival.

The participants presented folk foods and dishes developed to suit to their units' characteristics and many scientific and technological achievements.

Appreciated at the festival were sturgeon and terrapin dishes, sinsollo (dish in cooking brazier), quail dish and other foods presented by Okryu Restaurant, Chongryu Restaurant, Yanggakdo International Hotel and Pyongyang Koryo Hotel.

Highly appreciated were various colorful foods presented by the Kyonghung Guidance Bureau, combined restaurants in Phyongchon, Moranbong and Sosong Districts, and Kangwon and South Hwanghae provinces and Rason City.

Its closing ceremony took place on Thursday.

The festival marked a good occasion to find out traditional folk foods and local special dishes, increase the culinarians' art and improve the people's food culture as required by the developing reality.
