Papers Accuses New S. Korean IS Director of His Confrontation Remarks
Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- Nam Jae Jun, new director of the south Korean Intelligence Service (IS), in a recent confirmation hearing of the "National Assembly" made groundless remarks that the April 3 Popular Uprising on Jeju Island was "prompted by a man at the instructions of the north."

Papers Friday in bylined commentaries term his remarks a malignant calumny on the south Koreans all out in the just patriotic struggle for national independence and reunification, and another provocation against the DPRK.

The April 3 Popular Uprising of Jeju islanders was a people's resistance against fascism and the U.S. which moved to split the Korean nation and establish a puppet regime in south Korea through the "May 10 separate elections" in 1948.

Expressing towering resentment against traitor Nam Jae Jun for inciting hostility and confrontation with fellow countrymen while distorting the history of the just struggle of the south Koreans, Rodong Sinmun goes on:

The traitor described the proud anti-U.S. national salvation resistance of the south Korean people who stood firm against foreign forces' aggression moves as a "rebellion commanded by the north", revealing his true colors as a confrontation maniac sycophantic toward the U.S.

The situation in Korea is so tense that a nuclear war may break out any moment. Nam's provocative remarks under such situation is little different from adding fuel to fire.

He should clearly know that he may not keep his neck for wagging his short tongue.

Minju Joson says that Nam Jae Jun is bound to meet a miserable end like his predecessors for getting frantic in confrontation with compatriots and suppression of the people while freely wagging his tongue.
