15th Kimilsungia Festival Opens
Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- The 15th Kimilsungia Festival was opened with due ceremony at the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition Friday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

On display at the exhibition are potted Kimilsungias cultivated with all sincerity by many units including armed forces and power organs, ministries and national institutions, service persons, people from all walks of life and school youth and children.

Among them are those presented by the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, overseas Koreans, missions of different countries and international bodies here, friendly and solidarity organizations and individuals of different countries and members of associations for supporting the dissemination of the immortal flower.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop, officials of armed forces and power organs, ministries and national institutions, service persons, Pyongyangites, delegations of overseas Koreans and overseas compatriots.

Present there on invitation were the members of the visiting Indonesian government cultural delegation and other foreign guests.

Kim Chang Do, chairman of the Korean Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee, in an opening address said that Kimilsungia is the national treasure of Songun Korea and a great pride and honor of its army and people.

He expressed belief that the festival would contribute to encouraging all service personnel and people in their general advance for bringing about a decisive turn in building a thriving nation under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea and developing good neighborly and friendly relations with the world progressives.

Hari Untoro Dradjat, head of the Indonesian government cultural delegation, in a congratulatory speech said that Kimilsungia serves as a symbol of ever-lasting friendly relations between Indonesia and the DPRK.
