The message extended the warmest greetings to Kim Jong Un and, through him, to the friendly Korean people on behalf of the people and president of Syria on the occasion of the Day of the Sun, April 15 in 2013 that marks the 101st anniversary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung, eternal leader of the Korean people.

In the message the Syrian president said whenever he thinks about the passing of the President, he comes to remember Kim Il Sung who made great achievements, great contribution to the development of the DPRK by leading the Koreans in the most arduous time and laid a foundation for today's successes.

Thanks to the devotion of the President and leader Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un's wise leadership the Koreans are now making a progress for the country, the message said.

Availing himself of the opportunity the Syrian president confirmed that Kim Jong Un who was grown up under the care of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il will lead the country true to their line.

The Day of the Sun will be an occasion that encourages Kim Jong Un and the friendly Koreans in future, too, the message stressed.
